Covid-19: clinical trials using Covaxin on children begins

Bengaluru/UNI: In all 30 children, aged 12-18, were administered Covaxin at Mysuru Medical College and Research Institute (MMCRI) as part of Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical major Bharat Biotech's clinical trials.

New Delhi/IBNS: The Indian government has exempted "well established" foreign COVID-19 vaccines makers from any bridging clinical trials if it has been certified by the National Control Lab of the country where it is made, media reports said.

This common approach to type 2 diabetes management can leave patients at risk for heart attack and stroke. But results from four recent randomized clinical trials suggest that using medications that offer glucose control while reducing the risk for cardiovascular disease could improve patient outcomes.
