Dhaka: Bangladesh, the nation which recorded a spike in COVID- 19 cases earlier this year, recorded one new death due to the deadly virus in the past 24 hours, media reports said.

On Monday, the city recorded 4834 cases with a positivity rate of 30 percent--the highest so far for the city. Yet the government moved ahead with easing restrictions due to religious pressure.
