Canada: Turn toxic e-waste into a source of ‘decent work’, urges UN labour agency

United Nations, Apr 18 (IBNS): A “toxic flood of electric and electronic waste” that is growing by the day across the world, should be urgently converted into a source of decent work, that can also protect populations from its harmful effects, the United Nations labour agency said on Wednesday.
Delhi-NCR will generate 1,50,000 MT e-waste by 2020: ASSOCHAM study

New Delhi, Jan 10 (IBNS): Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) is likely to generate about 1,50,000 metric tonnes (MT) of e-waste per annum by 2020 from the current level of 85,000 metric tonnes growing at compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 25%, reveals ASSOCHAM Council on Climate Change & Environment latest findings.
