London/IBNS: Britain on Thursday became the first country to approve COVID-19 antiviral pill jointly developed by U.S.-based Merck and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics, media reports said.

London/IBNS: As fight against coronavirus is prolonged, mainly due to the more dangerous new variants of the contagion, the United Kingdom launched a nationwide study on Wednesday to find safety and efficacy of a third dose "booster" shot of Covid-19 vaccines in strengthening immunity against the deadly virus, according to a Reuters report.
