India's AIDS-related deaths reduced by 79 percent since 2010, says Health Minister Nadda

Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda on Sunday said that the number of new HIV cases in India has decreased by 44 percent since 2010 which is higher than the global reduction rate of 39 percent.

New York: The United Nations is commemorating World AIDS Day, on Tuesday, with a call for “global solidarity and shared responsibility” to overcome not only COVID-19, but also AIDS – another global pandemic that is still with us nearly 40 years after it emerged.
