Cyclone Hudhud hits Andhra, 3 killed

Vishakapatnam, Oct 12 (IBNS) The landfall of severe cyclone Hudhud - when the eye crosses the land- occurred since 1130 am on Sunday in Vishakapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, leaving behind a trail of destruction and claiming three lives so far, officials said.

Vishakapatnam/New Delhi, Oct 12 (IBNS): The landfall of severe cyclone Hudhud - when the eye crosses the land- has occurred after 11 am on Sunday in Vishakapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, according to MET office. Heavy rain and strong wind conditions prevailed in the region while media reported two cyclone related deaths.

Vishakapatnam, Oct 12 (IBNS): The landfall of severe cyclone Hudhud - when the eye hits land- is expected any time soon by noon on Sunday in Vishakapatnam in Andhra Pradesh while latest reports said the landfall has started already in the coast of the state, according to Indian Navy and MET office. Heavy rain and strong wind conditions prevail in the region.

New Delhi, Oct 11 (IBNS): Largescale evacuations to relief operations continued on a war-footing as the severe cyclone Hudhud is expected to pound India's eastern coast in Andhra Pradesh and also affect Odisha on Sunday morning while Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself chaired an emergency high-level meeting to review preparedness.
