Saradha: CBI to quiz Madan Mitra in jail

Kolkata, Dec 21 (IBNS): Granting the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)'s appeal, a local court in Kolkata on Monday gave the agency permission to interrogate former cabinet minister Madan Mitra and businessman Santanu Ghosh in jail, in connection with the Saradha financial scam.

Kolkata, Oct 7 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) on Wednesday arrested former union minister Matang Sinh's estranged wife Manoranjana Sinh and Kolkata-based businessman Shantanu Ghosh for their alleged involvement in multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam, officials said.

Kolkata, Feb 21 (IBNS): Accepting the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)'s appeal and rejecting his bail plea, Alipur Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Court on Saturday sent former Union Minister Matang Sinh to judicial custody up to Mar 7.
