Guwahati/UNI: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra during her second day of visit to poll bound Assam today met the tea pluckers and plucked the green leaves at tea gardens in Upper Assam.

Guwahati/IBNS: Considering the importance of tea in the economic health of the state as well as in the country, though some tea gardens were allowed to resume their functioning with minimum work force, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal stressed on adequate social distancing norms for the tea gardens in the changing socio-economic landscape emanated in the aftermath of the novel Coronavirus outbreak in the state.

Guwahati, June 20 (IBNS): Launching Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) for the tea gardens of the state, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda on Tuesday termed this as a historic initiative of the government which would be able to make healthcare accessible to the tea community of the state.
