Govt sources say ISI behind Al Qaeda's "Jihad" statement including Kashmir: Report

New Delhi/IBNS:  Al Qaeda's statement on waging "global jihad" to liberate "Islamic lands" that mentioned Kashmir but left out Chechnya and China's Xinjiang province, exposes the hand of Pakistan in the terror group's ominous statement, a media report said citing government sources.

Mohali/UNI: Noted American expert on terror and internal security Dr Peter Chalk on Wednesday said that Pakistan could be harnessing the power of the social media to launch attacks on the Indian economy, even as he warned that the ISI “may well leverage encrypted social media sites, secure telecommunication platforms and online mapping technology to covertly facilitate jihadist recruitment drives or directly support terrorist strikes” in Kashmir, where it has a long history of backing anti-Indian outfits.
