Kanpur/IBNS: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader was arrested on Tuesday for alleged derogatory comments on Prophet Muhammad, four days after violence broke out in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur over the same.

New Delhi: The BJP has suspended its spokespersons, Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal, over their comments on Prophet Muhammad that triggered massive violence in Uttar Pradesh, saying it "strongly denounces insult of any religious personalities".
