Supreme Court favours life sentence for milk adulteration, asks Centre to amend act

New Delhi, Aug 6 (IBNS) : Observing that those adulterating milk with harmful chemicals should get life imprisonment, the Supreme Court has directed the central government to amend the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and raise the penalty to deal with the menace, reports said.
