Guwahati, Dec 28 (IBNS) : After huge criticism over the centre and the Meghalaya government’s inability to rescue 15 miners, who were trapped inside a flooded coal mine in Meghalaya’s East Jaintia Hills district for the past 15 days, measures are now being taken to rescue the trapped miners.

Shillong, Dec 28 (IBNS) : The Indian Air Force has deployed its heavy-lift transport plane to airlift NDRF rescuers from Bhubaneswar to Guwahati on Friday as well as carry equipment to the rat-hole mine in Meghalaya where 15 men have been trapped since December 13, media reports said.

Guwahati, Dec 26 (IBNS): 15 miners are trapped inside a flooded coal mine in Meghalaya’s East Jaintia Hills district since Dec 13 and their fate continues to remain unknown as rescuers continue their fight to locate them.
