Manipur violence: Three-judge committee submits reports, SC to pass orders on Aug 25

New Delhi/IBNS/UNI: The Supreme Court Monday said that it would pass orders on Friday to facilitate the proper functioning of the Committee headed by Justice (Retd) Gita Mittal which was set up to monitor relief work, rehabilitation, compensation, and healing of violence-hit Manipur.

K'taka govt to provide Rs 10,000 relief for each flood affected families

Bengaluru, Aug 14 (UNI) The Karnataka Cabinet headed by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Wednesday decided to release Rs 10,000 as immediate relief to flood affected families in the State after over six lakh people were displaced and Rs 5000 rent allowance for 10 months for all those families who lost their homes due to deluge.
