New Delhi, Nov 13 (IBNS): In the wake of Narendra Modi's decision of demonetisation of Rs. 500 and Rs.1000 notes, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who generally reserves herself from commenting on any public issue, hailed the Prime Minister's move and said this will wipe out corruption from the country.

Guwahati, Nov 10 (IBNS): In the wake of the decision of Union government to cease the legal tender character of the old high denominations currency notes of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 in respect of all receipts and payments, the revenue collection departments like Taxation, Transport, Excise, Forest, etc. under the Assam government are unable to accept such old high denominations currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs.1000 with effect from midnight of Nov 8.
