CrPC 144 imposed, internet suspended in West Bengal's Hooghly after two groups clashed over COVID fears

Kolkata/IBNS: After a day-long violence between two groups over the fears of coronavirus spread in Telinipara area under Bhadreswar Police Station limits in Hooghly district of West Bengal, local administration on Tuesday imposed CrPC 144 and suspended mobile internet as well as broadband services in Serampore and Chandannagar Sub-Divisions till May 17, officials said.
