A pall of gloom descended over Bengal on Sunday (November 15, 2020) as legendary actor Soumitra Chatterjee died in a hospital in south Kolkata after fighting for his life for 40 days since he was admitted last month. His last rites was performed with full state honours. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, top officials, Tollywood celebrities and his fans joined his last ride from Rabindra Sadan, where his body was kept earlier in the day, to Keoratola Crematorium to pay their last homage to the Bengal's tallest superstar.
