Vivekananda College celebrates World Book Day

Vivekananda College, Thakupukur, observed the 'World Book Day' at the college on Wednesday (April 23, 2014) in Kolkata. Organised by the Dept. of Journalism & Mass Communication of the college, several eminent personalities including Dr.Tapan Kumar Poddar, Principal, Vivekananda College , Film director Pradipta Bhattacharyya , Dr. Biplab Loho Chowdhury, Professor, Centre for Journalism and Mass Communication, Visva Bharaati, Professor Maumita Chowdhury, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Barrackpore Rastraguru Surendranath College, Dr. Subarna Kumar Das, Professor, Jadavpur University, Prof.Santanu Banerjee , Head , Dept. of Mass communication & Videography , Vidyasagar University and Mr. Sujoy Dhar- Reuters correspondent & Editor of India Blooms News Service were present at the event. A photography exhibition, organized by the Centre for Photojournalism and Videography, Vivekananda College, was inaugurated by Pradipta Bhattacharyya on Wednesday.
