New York, Nov 27 (Just Earth News): Opening the first-ever Global Sustainable Transport Conference, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told delegations gathered in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, that the world has the resolve, commitment, imagination and creativity “to transform our transport systems in a sustainable manner that will improve human wellbeing, enhance social progress and protect our planet.”

New York, Oct 29 (Just Earth News): Greater investment in greener, more efficient and sustainable transport can save trillions of dollars and help achieve the global sustainability goals, according to a United Nations report launched on Friday that provides 10 recommendations on how resources can be redirected to the transport sector.
