Canada needs national system to track health and stress assessment of fresh water

Toronto, June 16 (IBNS): Canada is home to 20 percent of the world's freshwater, but significant disruption of watersheds due to urbanization, forestry, municipal and industrial pollution as well as climate change had an adverse effect on health, economy and the wellbeing of wildlife, the first nationwide assessment of Canada’s freshwater report said.
