Pakistan: Punjab govt's request forced to revoke ban on TLP

Islamabad/IBNS: The Imran Khan-government in Pakistan recently lifted a ban on proscribed hardline Islamist group Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) in line with the “secret agreement” it had signed with the group on Oct 31, media reports said.

Lahore: As visuals of heavy clashes between Islamists and cops in Lahore emerged on Sunday, Pakistan police said members of the recently proscribed Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) "brutally tortured" a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) while TLP claimed three of their activists died from gunshots, media reports said.
