New York, Sept 20(Just Earth News): The world’s first legally-binding treaty prohibiting nuclear weapons opened for signature on Wednesday at United Nations Headquarters in New York at a ceremony at which speakers from international organizations, governments and civil society hailed this milestone in achieving a world free of such arsenals as well as the work that remains to be done.

New York, June 6 (Just Earth News):The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has announced that a groundbreaking international accord aimed at stamping out illegal fishing went into effect on Sunday and is now legally binding for the 29 countries and a regional organization that have adhered to it.
