5 killed in Afghanistan bus mishap

Kabul, Nov 13 (IBNS): At least five passenger were killed as the vehicle in which they were travelling flipped over in Afghanistan's southern Kandahar province on Monday, media reports said.

The mishap reportedly left 37 others injured.

Qudratullah Khoshbakht, the governor’s spokesman, told country's Pajhwok Afghan News the accident took place when a 303-bus overturned in Panjwai district on the Kandahar-Herat highway at around 6am.

The spokesman linked the mishap to the negligence on the part of the driver of the bus.

The injured people were rushed to hospital after the incident.
