5.0 magnitude earthquake hits Japan, no damage reported

Tokyo, July 17 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 5.0 magnitude jolted the west Kanto region of Japan on Sunday.
The quake caused no damaged so far, reports said.
 
However, the Met department has issued a tsunami warning as well.
 
According to reports, the epicenter of the quake was at a latitude of 36.1 degrees north and a longitude of 139.9 degrees east and occurred at depth of 40 kilometers.
 
The earthquake, which measured 4 on the Japanese seismic scale, was centered in Ibaraki Prefecture which borders the Pacific Ocean and is to the northeast of the nation's capital city of Tokyo, reported Xinhua new agency.
