5.1 earthquake hits Greece, no casualty
Athens, Aug 31 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale hit central Greece on Friday, as per US Geological Survey (USGS).
No damage to property or injury has been reported so far.
As per USGS website, the earthquake hit west-south-west of Morfovounion area in the country.
It struck at a depth of 9 kms.
Greek news agency AMNA reported: "An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale shook Karditsa, western Thessaly, central Greece, on Friday."
The quake was felt iin several other Greek cities which included Lamia, Ioannina and Corfu.
