California: Afghanistan citizens in California  in the US recently  staged a rally against Taliban atrocities, pledging support for the security forces, media reports said on Wednesday.

The protests occurred at a time when  Afghanistan is witnessing a rise in violence after foreign forces started moving out of the war-torn country.

The protest march was held in support of Afghan National Defence and Security Forces (ANDSF), who have launched an offensive against the Taliban to retake districts captured by the insurgent group, reports Hindustan Times.

The Taliban group has started recapturing several regions in Afghanistan in recent times.

The militants have started torturing civilians, including children, in the regions.
