Afghanistan to open Consulate in Hyderabad

Kabul/New Delhi, Oct 15 (IBNS): Bolstering their bilateral ties with India, Afghanistan will open another Consulate in the city of Hyderabad, reports said.

Afghan Ambassador to India, Shaida Mohammad Abdali, was quoted in the media as saying that the main focus of the Consulate will be on expanding facilities for education, healthcare, trade and business.

"We are going to soon send a delegation to Hyderabad to look for a place for the Consulate," he said.

Afghanistan already has its Embassy in New Delhi and a Consulate in Mumbai.

Abdali has also expressed interests of opening a commercial attache office in Kolkata, reports added.
