Afghanistan: Top Taliban leader killed in Ghazni
The agency quoted Ministry of Interior officials as saying, "A top Taliban commander named Mullah Firoz Jahadi along with five other armed Taliban killed in Aab Band district of Ghazni province in an Afghan National Police ambush.”
"During this ambush, nine other armed Taliban were wounded and two rocket launchers, two PK machine guns and one vehicle seized as well,” the statement read.
The leader is suspected to be the commander in Kunduz war.
Meanwhile, at least 18 Taliban militants were killed during an operation in Kunduz City.
Among killed was Taliban commander Ghulam Safi.
