After Prince Charles, now British PM Boris Johnson tests positive for COVID 19

London/IBNS: British PM Boris Johnson on Friday tested positive for COVID 19.

He said he developed mild symptoms over the past 24 hours.

" Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus," he said.

Johnson said he is currently self-isolating.

"I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus," he said.

Earlier, Prince Charles tested positive for the virus

World leaders wish him speedy recovry:

Israel Pm Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted: "Dear @BorisJohnson , on behalf of the people of Israel I wish you a full and speedy recovery. Your friend, Benjamin Netanyahu."

India PM Narendra Modi described Boris Johnson as a 'fighter'.

"You’re a fighter and you will overcome this challenge as well. Prayers for your good health and best wishes in ensuring a healthy UK," he said.
