Antony Blinken concerned over Russia, Belarus' Joint Drills

| @indiablooms | Feb 21, 2022, at 02:57 am

Moscow/UNI/Sputnik: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Sunday he was concerned about Russia and Belarus' decision to extend joint drills.

The Belarusian Defense Ministry said earlier on Sunday that the exercises would continue due to escalation in Ukraine and increased military activity near the borders of Belarus and Russia.

"It does," Blinken told CNN when asked if the decision to extend the drills made him more concerned about potential invasion in Ukraine.

Western media and politicians have been suggesting over the past few weeks that Russia is about to attack Ukraine.

Moscow has said that it has no plans to attack the neighboring country.

Regarding the West's concerns about Russia's drills, it said that it has the right to move the troops on its own territory.
