At least four killed in Canadian shooting: Police

Fredericton, Aug 10 (IBNS): At least four people were killed in a shooting in the eastern Canadian city of Fredericton, New Brunswick,  media reports said.

The Canadian Police directed residents of Brookside Drive to 'avoid the area and stay in their homes with doors locked'.

The Fredericton police tweeted: "Please continue to avoid the area of Brookside Drive between Main and Ring Road. An incident has resulted in at least four people killed. More information will be available when we can confirm."

The police further said: "IMPORTANT: Please do not post information about the position or activities of police or first responders. We are still working an active incident. We will release confirmed information as soon as we can."

Nick Moore, CTV Atlantic news reporter, posted a video from the scene where emergency vehicles could be seen present outside a house.
