Bangladesh: Faridpur jute mill collapse, 4 killed

Dhaka, Aug 21 (IBNS): A jute mill collapsed in Faridpur Sadar upazila of Bangladesh on Sunday which left at least four workers killed and several others injured, media reports said.

Four bodies were recovered from the spot in Bakunda area, Jamil Hassan, superintendant of Faridpur police, was quoted as saying by The Daily Star Online.

The mishap occurred during a tornado and a portion of the tin roof of the mill collapsed, report said.

The identities of the deceased people are not known so far.

Around 350 workers were present in the mill when the mishap occurred.
