Canada: Doug Ford faces criticism over quashing of Hydro One deal
Toronto, Dec 6 (IBNS): Ontario Premier Doug Ford is facing criticism from the opposition parties over the quashing of $6.7-billion Hydro One deal, media reports said.
US regulators said they would not allow Ontario's largest utility to buy Avista Corp., CTV News reported.
Both the opposition parties- New Democratic Party (NDP) and Liberals- criticised Ford in late Wednesday.
Liberal MPP Mitzie Hunter said as quoted by CTV News, "stop meddling at Hydro One".
New Democrat Ian Arthur said the Liberals should also be blamed as the deal was partially sold off in 2015.
