Canada: Ontario PC MPP Wilson, who is seeking treatment for addiction, resigns
Toronto, Nov 3 (IBNS): Seeking treatment for addition issues, Ontario Progressive Conservative (PC) MPP Jim Wilson has resigned from the cabinet and Tory caucus, media reports said.
Wilson was the minister of economic development, job creation and trade.
His resignation is immediately effective.
Government House Leader Todd Smith will assume Wilson's post on an interim basis.
Though CTV News had approached Wilson for comment, the former minister's office did not respond on Friday.
