China: Blast near chemical plant kills 22

Beijing, Nov 28 (IBNS): At least 22 people were killed as a blast occurred near a chemical factory in northern China on Wednesday, media reports said.

The incident left 22 others injured.

The blast occurred in north China's Hebei Province.

A blast near a chemical plant in Zhangjiakou, north China's Hebei Province, has killed 22 and injured 22 in early Wednesday morning, local authorities told Xinhua news agency of China. 

People's Daily China tweeted: "22 killed, 22 others injured and hospitalized following a blast near a chemical factory in Zhangjiakou, Hebei province. Cause of the blast is under investigation."

The cause of the blast is still not known.

The injured people were rushed to hospital for treatment.
