China witnessed 400 million deaths due to COVID-19: Reports

Beijing: Chinese hospitals are currently flooded with dead bodies and crematoriums are witnessing log queues as the country is continuing to witness a surge in COVID-19 infection, media reports said on Friday.

Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, said as many as 400 million people have been killed in China due to the epidemic and the Chinese Communist Party has been trying to cover up, reports The Epoch Times as quoted by ANI.

He also said when this wave of the pandemic ends, 500 million people will have died in China.

Master Li said when SARS claimed 200 million lives in China, the report said, adding that many years later, the CCP discovered that the population had decreased, and immediately released the two-child and three-child systems.

Although virus sequencing is vital to detect and track new variants in the COVID-19 pandemic, sharing this information must be stepped up globally, the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday in Geneva.

“Since the peak of the Omicron wave, the number of sequences being shared has dropped by more than 90 percent, and the number of countries sharing sequences has fallen by a third,” said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, speaking during his latest media briefing.

The WHO chief recalled that the first sequence of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, was shared with the world three years ago, which enabled the development of tests and vaccines against the disease.

“We urge all countries now experiencing intense transmission to increase sequencing, and to share those sequences,” he said.
