Fear of death due to COVID-19: More young Chinese people are writing wills
Beijing: Young Chinese people in large numbers are preparing wills more than ever before amid COVID-19 pandemic and deaths from the disease, media reports said.
Experts say the coronavirus pandemic has prompted more young people to think about death and their assets. From 2019 to 2020, the number of will writers born after 1990 has grown 60 per cent, faster than in previous years, The South China Morning Post reported.
Since last August, a growing number of overseas Chinese people are consulting the centre in order to arrange their assets at home. The centre saw inquiries triple in a year, the newspaper reported.
The virus is believed to have originated from China.
The disease has spread across nearly all the countries now.
