Fire accident kills 7 in central China
Beijing/Xinhua/UNI: Seven people were killed after a fire broke out on Wednesday morning in Shuangfeng County, central China's Hunan Province, according to the local publicity department.
The fire, which occurred around 10 am at a logistics transfer station, was extinguished about two hours later, the department said.
The owner of the logistics business has been put under police control.
The local government has launched an investigation into the accident, while an overhaul campaign to identify potential safety hazards is underway throughout the county, according to the department.
