Ottawa, Oct 27 (IBNS): Investigators with the York Regional Police Guns, Gangs and Drug Enforcement Unit, have charged two people and seized more than $500,000 worth of illegal drugs.

In August 2017, an investigation began into two suspects who were believed to have been trafficking a variety of drugs.

As the investigation progressed, officers determined the suspects were using a storage unit in the city of Toronto and a house in the city of Markham to store the drugs they eventually sold.

On Friday, October 20, shortly after 5 p.m., one of the suspects was arrested by investigators in a parking lot on Gordon Baker Road in the city of Toronto, while trying to sell a quantity of cocaine.

Search warrants were executed at a house located on Badcome Drive in the City of Markham, as well as a storage unit located in the area of Kennedy Road south of Steeles Avenue in the City of Toronto.

During the search warrant execution, the second suspect was arrested at the residence on Badcome Drive.
