House of Lords: British PM Keir Starmer nominates Indian-origin Krish Raval for new political peerage
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has nominated London-based Indian-origin professional Krish Raval for new political peerages in the House of Lords in the UK.
Apart from Starmer, 29 other people have been nominated for the position.
The appointments will be approved by King Charles III.
In a statement, Downing Street said, "The King has been graciously pleased to signify His intention of conferring Peerages of the United Kingdom for Life."
Who is Krish Raval?
As per Berkley Center website, Krish Raval is the director of Faith in Leadership.
Raval was the first director of the Churchill Leadership Fellows, the United Kingdom’s main leadership fellowship for outstanding 19- to 25-year-olds, now run in partnership with the Moller Centre at Churchill College.
According to reports, he was awarded an OBE in 2018 by Queen Elizabeth II for Services to Leadership Education and Inter-faith Cohesion.
