Indian-American Kamala Harris wins US Senate seat

California, Nov 9 (IBNS): Indian-American candidate Kamala Harris on Wednesday won the US Senate seat from California state.

She defeated  Democrat Loretta Sanchez in the polls.

"I am so proud to represent this beautiful and diverse state," she tweeted.

She is also the two-term attorney general from California.
