Ottawa, Dec 26 (IBNS): Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spent the Christmas with the Canadian Forces on Tuesday.

Canadian minister of national defence, Harjit Sajjan, tweeted a video and said, "It was an honour to pass along the gratitude of Canadians to our women and men in uniform during my recent visit to Mali. To our @canadianforces members serving abroad: thank you for everything you do to keep Canadians safe. You make us all proud. Merry Christmas! "

"The service you offer to Canada is extraordinary," remarked Trudeau.

On the eve of Christmas, Trudeau had said: "For Canadian Armed Forces members who are far from home, it's just one example of the many sacrifices you and your families make. We're thinking of you and we're grateful for everything you do for Canadians.

"We're also thinking of the hardworking Canadian families who might be struggling to make ends meet this Christmas."
