MH370: Chinese ship discovers pulse signal

Beijing, Apr 5 (IBNS): A Chinese ship, which is searching for the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, on Saturday detected a pulse signal in the southern Indian Ocean waters, media reports said.

 

" Chinese patrol ship Haixun 01, searching for the missing Malaysian passenger jet MH370, detected a pulse signal with a frequency of 37.5kHz per second in southern Indian Ocean waters Saturday,"  China's Xinhua news agency reported.
 
However, it has not been established whether it is linked to the flight which went missing on Mar 8.
 
"A black box detector deployed by the Haixun 01 picked up the signal at around 25 degrees south latitude and 101 degrees east longtitude. It is yet to be established whether it is related to the missing jet," the news agency reported.
 
"A Chinese air force plane searching for missing Malaysian passenger jet MH370 spotted a number of white floating objects in the search area Saturday," it said.
 
Malaysian Airlines, the flag carrier airline of Malaysia, last month confirmed that its flight MH370 is now lost for ever in the Southern Indian Ocean and there are no survivors.
 
The Malaysia Airlines flight, which was carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew and went missing since Mar 8.
