North Korea launches second missile over Japan, promises to destroy nation

Pyongyang, Sep 15 (IBNS): Days after receiving fresh sanctions from the United Nations, North Korea on Friday launched their second missile over Japan, reports said.

The projectile was launched over northern Japan's Hokkaido island.

This is the first missile launch following their sixth test earlier this month, where North Korea successfully tested a Hydrogen Bomb.

The projectile launch over Japan was also their second one in a month's time.

Following the launch, North Korean state news agency KCNA threatened that the four islands of the (Japanese) archipelago should be sunken into the sea by the nuclear bomb of Juche.

The action has been condemned by the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who told reporters that it was totally unacceptable and was against the spirit of the international community.

According to the new sanctions, North Korea's ability to import oil has been curbed, while export of its textile has been banned.

However, the sanctions were only passed unanimously only after oil import was curbed and not entirely banned, as demanded by the US.

America has argued that it wanted a total ban to starve and stop North Korea of carrying out any more nuclear tests.

Meanwhile, Kim Jong-un led nation has promised to make the US pay.

Last month, the UN slapped North Korea with several sanctions.

According to the sanctions, importing coal, seafood, iron and iron ore, lead and lead ore from North Korea is banned.

Under the new rule, no country can hire or receive North Korean workers.

Countries have also been barred from entering into ventures from North Korea.

The member states will have to report with 90 days on how they have gone about the job.
