Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth dies due to COVID-19
Peshawar: Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth, who contracted COVID-19 recently, died on Thursday.
He was 59.
Justice Seth had tested positive for Covid-19 on October 22 and was subsequently admitted to a hospital in Peshawar, a protocol officer of the high court, Zubair Hussain, told Dawn News.
He was later shifted to the Kulsum International Hospital in Islamabad, where he succumbed to the virus, Hussain added.
Pakistan is witnessing a surge in COVID-19 cases in recent days.
The country has witnessed 7055 COVID-19 deaths so far.
