Barbadian singer-actress Rihanna had to call the police at her Beverly Hills home in Los Angeles after a man walked up wanting to ask for her hand in marriage.

The incident took place on Thursday as the unidentified man had travelled from South Carolina to Los Angeles.

He was arrested for trespassing on Rihanna's property around 12.30 pm.

The man travelled a long distance just to propose to the singer before his plans were squashed by her security staff.

The cops were called by the on-site security personnel who arrested the man from the property in handcuffs.

He was taken into custody by law enforcement for a while before they released him as he had not broken any laws. He was warned not to do the offence again.
