Pope Francis declares John XXIII, John Paul II as saints
Vatican City, Apr 27 (IBNS): Pope Francis has declared his two predecessors John XXIII and John Paul II as saints.
A huge crowd gathered in Vatican City on Sunday to see a historic ceremony in the presence of retired Pope Benedict XVI.
It is the first time two popes have been canonised at the same time.
Nearly 100 foreign delegations including royal dignitaries, heads of state and government attended the ceremony.
