Sadiq Khan takes oath as London Mayor

London, May 7 (IBNS) Labour's Sadiq Khan on Saturday took oath as the Mayor of London.

He is the first Muslim Mayor of the city.

He said he was deeply honoured to take oath as the Mayor of London.

"Deeply honoured to take this oath. I will be a Mayor for all Londoners,"Khan tweeted.

Khan received more than 1.3 million votes as he defeated Tory Zac Goldsmith by 1, 310,143 votes to 994, 614.
