Spain: Train derails, 4 killed

O Porriño, Sept 9 (IBNS): At least four people were killed as a train derailed in passenger train en route to Porto (Portugal) from Vigo in Galicia derailed in Spain's northwestern town O Porriño, media reports said on Friday.

The incident occurred at around 9.30 am.

"Authorities confirmed that four people had so far been confirmed as dead and dozens had suffered injuries when the train came off the tracks at a bridge 12 km into the journey," The Local reported.

More than 40 people were injured in the incident.
