Terrorism hits Island Nation: Controlled explosion carried out in Sri Lanka's south city
Katuwana (Sri Lanka), Apr 24 (UNI) Sri Lanka’s security forces have carried out a controlled explosion after a suspicious parcel was found in a restaurant in the southern city here, media reported on Wednesday, citing police.
According to the News 1st media portal, a restaurant employee alerted the police about the suspicious package.
On Sunday, Sri Lanka was hit by a series of coordinated bombings in churches and hotels in the capital of Colombo and other cities that claimed lives of over 350 people.
