Toronto, Oct. 23 (IBNS): A shooting outside a venue in Mississauga early Saturday morning resulted in the death of one person, reports said.

The police arrived on the scene of shooting at the Queen Street South and Church Street area around 3:50 a.m. and found a person dead outside a venue that was rented out for events.

There was an incident of another shooting near Credit Valley Road and Eglinton Avenue at around the same time and paramedics reported that a man was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.

“We are not sure whether they are connected to this scene or not and we are just trying to figure that out now,” said Const. Harinder Sohi,.

Sohi beleved that some event was taking place at the venue but he was not sure if there were any eye witnesses.

“We did receive a lot of 911 calls but we are still trying to figure out who the witnesses are and who was on scene and who wasn’t,” he said.

Information about possible suspects has not released.
